Il verbo ‘to know’ può essere usato in abbinamento ad una ‘question word’ (what, when, how, whether, who, etc.)

ATTENZIONE alla diversa costruzione della frase:

REGOLA: in una domanda semplice con una 'question word' si fa l’inversione tra verbo e soggetto.
In una domanda indiretta, l'inversione non si fa e si segue l'ordine della frase affermativa.

Conosci un posto dove posso comprare dei francobolli?
Quando l’interrogativo è seguito da un altro verbo, quest’ultimo è preceduto da ‘to’.
