'WHEN' AVVERBIO RELATIVO
Significa ‘nel quale’, ‘in cui’.

APPROFONDIMENTO
La frase “I’ll call you when I get home” è formata da due parti:
1) I’ll call you 2) when I get home.
La parte principale della frase è al futuro (I’ll call you), mentre la parte con ‘when’ è al presente, nonostante sia riferita ad un’azione futura (quando arriverò a casa).
Questo perché, nelle frasi subordinate con un significato futuro, dopo ‘when’ si usa SEMPRE il presente.
NON è *I’ll call you when I will get home.
